Mario’s future is finally looking up as he becomes eligible to play in the NFL.
A source with knowledge of the situation tells ESPN The Magazine that the former UCLA star is expected to sign a contract with the Philadelphia Eagles in 2019, which would be his final year of eligibility.
The deal is worth around $2.75 million per season and would likely be a one-year deal.
It would be the first major contract of Mario’s career.
The Eagles are expected to be one of the teams interested in bringing him back.
Mario has spent his entire career in the league, winning the Heisman Trophy in 2016.
He has played in four Pro Bowls and made the All-Pro team six times.
