A man is in custody after an early morning shooting that left a woman dead in Cicarelli, Pennsylvania, authorities said Sunday.
The woman, identified by police as 41-year-old Jennifer Myers, was killed when the SUV she was riding in crashed into a curb, a spokesman for the Pennsylvania State Police said.
Authorities believe Myers was shot multiple times and her car was also hit.
The crash was caught on camera by a passerby, who was able to call 911.
“I was sitting on the sidewalk and I saw this SUV crash, I heard the screech of it, and then I saw the woman laying on the ground with blood all over her, police spokesman Lt.
Mentally disturbed, Myers was in the back seat of the SUV.”
She was screaming, ‘Please, please help me, please.'”
Mentally disturbed, Myers was in the back seat of the SUV.
The car was in a parking lot, and when police arrived they saw Myers, who had been shot, sitting on top of the car, Rizzolos said.
The SUV was towed to a nearby hospital and a search warrant was obtained to find the man, who is now in custody, Razzolos added.
The shooting comes days after a shooting on the same block left a man dead.
Police say Myers was also shot.
